Monochromatic Christmas Card

Today's share is a quick and easy monochromatic Christmas Card! I just love how blue and white look so nice together! Fun Stamper's Journey products are abbreviated as FSJ and Spellbinders products are referred to as SB. Let's get started!

INGREDIENTS

FSJ Stay Cozy stamp set (SS-0600)
SB Filigree Delight die set (S5-177)
FSJ Whip Cream CS - A2 card base, 4 1/2"x1" and 3 1/4"x4 1/4"
Cricut Sapphire Blue Glitter CS - 4 1/4"x5 1/2"
FSJ Huckleberry Fusion Ink
Stickles Icicle Glitter Glue
FSJ Craft Glue
Red Line Tape (Wonder Tape)
FSJ Bone Folder
FSJ Paper Snips
Tape runner

Other: Die cutting machine, paper trimmer, low tack tape

DIRECTIONS

SENTIMENT: Stamp the Happy Holidays sentiment with Huckleberry Fusion Ink on the smallest piece of Whip Cream CS. With paper snips, cut tails in each end (see photo). With bone folder, gently curl the sentiment - this will give a little extra dimension to the card when finished.

CENTER IMAGE: With Huckleberry Fusion Ink, stamp the houses onto the larger piece of whip cream CS. Secure the oval die from Filigree Delight to the image with low tack tape, then run through your die cutting machine..

FILIGREE BACKGROUND: Secure the largest die to the Sapphire Blue CS with low tack tape and run through your die cutting machine. Note that if you're using a hand crank machine, you may need several passes for this to cut thoroughly.

ASSEMBLY: Attach the Filigree die cut to your A2 card base with tape and glue. I really like the FSJ Craft Glue, it's got a small tip to dot areas of this diecut with easily! I used more tape in the center of this piece, and the glue in the small areas all the way around it.

Next attach the oval image. Please not that a lot of adhesives don't work well on the Cricut Glitter CS - I used the Red Line Tape to attach mine, as this type of tape is extra tacky...and it's worked very well!

Then attach the sentiment, again with the Red Line Tape, about 1/2" or so above the bottom of the card, just so that a little of the blue oval shows below the sentiment.

Now stamp your desired sentiment on the inside of the card. The FINAL STEP is to add little dots of the Stickles Icicle Glitter Glue onto the roofs of the houses... be careful not to apply too much at one time or it could cause the CS to warp a little. I applied the Stickles in small increments 3 different times, setting it aside to dry for about 20 minutes in between each application, and this worked very well! I do not recommend using cheap "bargain" glitter glues - in my experience the cheaper ones have a higher water content and almost always warp the CS...I've had a much better time with the Stickles!

As always, I hope you've enjoyed today's share! I would really love feedback from everyone who visits, so leave me a comment and follow! I sometimes post live videos on my FB Biz Page, so hear on over there also and please follow and like my page!    Smiles, Laura

SUMMER GARDEN WEDDING CARD

Welcome! Today's share uses the "WOW" technique: White On White! In this case I used white embossing powder on white vellum. If you need any of the supplies for this card, you can order through me at www.funstampersjourney.com/lauraneumann.

INGREDIENTS:

FSJ Summer Garden Stamp Set: SS-0078
Baby Prints Stamp Set: SS-0504
Pool Play CS (A2 card base) CS-0092
Whip Cream CS ( 1/2"x5 1/2") CS-0040
Vellum (4 1/4"x5 1/2")   PP-0044
True Color Fusion Catalina Splash Ink Pad: IP-0073
True Color Fusion Clear Pigment Ink: IP-0102
White Embossing Powder: IP-0098
Journey Heat Gun: TO-0083
Special Day Organza Ribbon: AC-0316 Not used in sample, but will work beautifully!
White Pearls: AC-0024
White Liner Tape: Ad-0001

DIRECTIONS:

Fold Pool Play CS in 1/2 to create card base; set aside. Emboss vellum with Summer Garden stamps, Clear Pigment Ink, White Emboss Powder & Journey Heat Gun. Fussy cut one edge, as seen in photo.

With Catalina Splash Ink, stamp "Congratulations" from Baby Prints onto the Whip Cream CS. Using white liner tape, attach this strip to vellum about 1/2" from the top, Flip over & add white liner tape to the back over the white strip of CS (the strip will cover the adhesive so it won't be seen from the front!). Now attach to the front of the card base!

The final steps are to add your organza ribbon bow & pearls. Stamp a sentiment or attach a poem to the inside & Voila! Your Wedding Card is complete!

I hope I've helped to inspire your creativity today! As always, Smiles, Laura

EASTER CARD
Mixing the old with the new!

Hello! I had soooo much fun creating this Easter card! I recently purchased a Mystery Box 2.0 from Fun Stamper's Journey and received some wonderful retired goodies! So I challenged myself to create a card mixing some of my new retired goodies with current goodies!  By the way, these Mystery Boxes are on sale through February 28th for $25.00 and each one contains at least $100.00 in "throwback", or retired, product! If you're interested in getting some, click on the link above, then click on SHOP! And if you spend $100, you will receive a FREE Mystery Box with $50.00 in retired product and you can choose Hop Cuts Dies (used in this card) as your free Bloom Benefit! Now, on to the card itself!

INGREDIENTS

Eggcellent Prints (Eggs - 4 3/4 x 4 3/4") MB-0002
Simply Amazing Stamp Set MB-0002

Annual Celebration Stamp Set - Happy Easter
Black Licorice Ink Pad
Lavender Fusion Ink Pad
Beach Breeze Ink Pad
Whip Cream Ink Pad
Heat Gun
Whip Cream CS (card base 5 1/2 x 5 1/2" folded, scraps)
Bubble Gum CS (5 1/4 x 5 1/4", scraps)
Beach Breeze CS (5 x 5")
Project Me Paper - hearts print
Journey Ovals Dies - largest cutting & piercing dies)
Hop Cuts Dies - Bloom Benefit
Pearls
Small dauber
White Liner Tape
Small Foam Squares
Craft Glue

Pink Alcohol Marker
Toothpick
Scotch Tape
Cotton Ball

DIRECTIONS

Attach layered CS pieces to the card front, as shown in photo. Cut bunny from Bubble Gum CS scrap, tail from Whip Cream CS scrap and oval from Project Me hearts print scrap. Attach the oval to the center of the card.

With dauber, ink up dot star from Simply Amazing stamp set - 2/3 Lavender Fusion and 1/3 Beach Breeze. Stamp onto Whip Cream CS scrap. Next, Stamp "Happy Easter" onto the star with Black Licorice ink. Fussy cut by hand, then attach to Bubble Gum CS scrap and fussy cut again, leaving a 1/8" border, as seen in photo. Attach white liner tape to the back of this, from top of star to bottom.

Roll toothpick over Whip Cream Ink Pad - cover at least 3/4s of it. Heat set briefly, then repeat as necessary until toothpick is well coated. Press in-inked part of toothpick firmly onto white liner tape on back of star, then fasten securely with a small piece of Scotch Tape.

Color 4 of the white pearls with a pink alcohol ink marker. Let dry for a few minutes.

Pull a small piece of cotton off the cotton ball - make sure it's enough to cover the white tail. Fluff it a little, then attach to white tail with craft glue. Attach the tail to the bunny with foam squares. Attach the bunny in the center of the oval.

Attach pink pearls to the corners of the card. Finally, add 2 layers of foam squares to the back of each side your "Happy Easter sign." Work end of toothpick gently under the bunny. Stamp desired sentiment on the inside and our card is finished!

I hope I've helped to inspire your creativity with today's share! As always, Smiles and Happy Crafting, Laura

SCRAPBOOK PAGE of the Week
using Fun Stamper's Journey Products

Hello! I'm starting a new 2016 album using all Fun Stamper's Journey products and I'll be sharing one scrapbook page each week this year. When most folks think of FSJ, they think of stamping and card making, but it's so easy to create beautiful scrapbook pages with our versatile products!

I started with 12x12" Whip Cream cardstock for the page background. First, I cut 3 circles out of scrap cardstock with our Journey Circle Dies & used the negative as a stencil! I stenciled the largest circles with Beach Breeze PanPastels, then the medium circles with Beach Ball PanPastels. Finally I stenciled in the smallest circles with a little Lemon Drop & Whip Cream Pan Pastels. Then I burnished the entire page with paper towel.

I used our Journey Serifs Steel Rule Die to cut out the letters in Whip Cream CS, then cut out 3 butterflies from Artful Butterfly Dies and added in the lower right corner. Easy, breezy and oh so adorable!!!!

And yes, These are some of my wedding photos from 2016! I'm creating a general album for the entire year, so stay tuned for more scrapbook pages featuring FSJ-only products. As always, I hope I've helped to inspire your creativity today! Happy Crafting & Smiles, Laura
