SCRAPBOOK PAGE of the Week
using Fun Stamper's Journey Products

Hello! I'm starting a new 2016 album using all Fun Stamper's Journey products and I'll be sharing one scrapbook page each week this year. When most folks think of FSJ, they think of stamping and card making, but it's so easy to create beautiful scrapbook pages with our versatile products!

I started with 12x12" Whip Cream cardstock for the page background. First, I cut 3 circles out of scrap cardstock with our Journey Circle Dies & used the negative as a stencil! I stenciled the largest circles with Beach Breeze PanPastels, then the medium circles with Beach Ball PanPastels. Finally I stenciled in the smallest circles with a little Lemon Drop & Whip Cream Pan Pastels. Then I burnished the entire page with paper towel.

I used our Journey Serifs Steel Rule Die to cut out the letters in Whip Cream CS, then cut out 3 butterflies from Artful Butterfly Dies and added in the lower right corner. Easy, breezy and oh so adorable!!!!

And yes, These are some of my wedding photos from 2016! I'm creating a general album for the entire year, so stay tuned for more scrapbook pages featuring FSJ-only products. As always, I hope I've helped to inspire your creativity today! Happy Crafting & Smiles, Laura

MAKE A WISH BIRTHDAY CARD

I'm having tons of fun with my new Uplift Dies & Let's Eat Cake stamp set from Fun Stamper's Journey Mini Bloom This Way catalog! I've created another cards using these and a few other items.

TIP #1: You can save the negatives from your die cuts to use as a stencil! I stenciled in the blue balloon with Beach Breeze from our Party Pop PanPastels in this card!!

TIP #2: You can color white pearls and many other embellishments with an alcohol ink marker to achieve any color you desire! I created light pink pearls here using this technique!

INGREDIENTS:

Let's Eat Cake stamp set

Uplift Dies

Black Licorice Ink Pad

Whip Cream CS - 1/2 sheet folded to A2 & scraps

Journey ColorSplash Pencils

Party Pop Pan Pastels

Journey Sofft Tools

Journey Blending Brush - medium

Pearls

Journey Twine - Natural

Journey Glaze

Sparkle Dust

White Line Tape

Foam Squares

Light Pink Alcohol Ink Marker

White Artists' Eraser

Paper Towel

DIRECTIONS:

Die cut 2 small balloons & one of the 2nd smallest balloons. Using negative from 2nd smallest balloon die, oval sponge, and Beach Breeze PanPastels, color in  balloon in upper right portion of card front, as shown. Then color in two small balloon die cuts with yellow PanPastels. Burnish with paper towel, then add highlight by erasing a small line on the left of the balloon as shown.

With Black Licorice ink, stamp the 3 layer cake on scrap Whip Cream CS. Color in with ColorSplash Pencils (see photo). Cut out with scissors, then add Journey Glaze & Sparkle dust, as shown in photo. Let dry for a few minutes.

Add foam squares to the two yellow balloons and attach Journey Twine to the back of these with White Liner Tape. Attach small balloons to card, slightly over the blue balloon (see photo). Tape down twine where it will be under the cake, trim ends off.

Attach the cake to the card with foam squares. With Black Licorice ink, stamp "Make a" centered over the top of the cake. Then stamp "i'm just here for the cake" in the lower right corner of the card.

Finally, color white pearls a light shade of pink with alcohol ink marker & attach to card! And, you're done!!!!

As always, I hope I've helped to inspire your creativity today!  Happy Crafting & Smiles, Laura

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BALLOON CARD
using Party Pop PanPastels

Hello! Today's share is quick & easy birthday card using some new goodies from Fun Stamper's Journey new Mini Bloom This Way catalog, as well as the Party Pop PanPastels. I just love how easy it is to create 3D balloons with our PanPastels!

INGREDIENTS:

Whip Cream CS - 1/2 sheet folded to AS card & scraps
Summer Sun CS - small scrap
Black Licorice Ink Pad
Journey Twine Natural
Uplift Die Set (DI-0388)
Let's Eat Cake stamps (SS-0555)
Sparkle Silk
Party Pop PanPastels
White artists' eraser
Journey Sofft Tools
White Liner Tape
Foam Squares
Platinum or Amaze Die Cutting Machine

DIRECTIONS:

From whip cream CS, cut out 3 balloons - 2 of the smallest and 1 of the next size up. With oval sponge and Party Pop PanPastels, color the larger balloon red & the two smaller ones yellow & beach breeze, as shown in photo. I colored mine darker on the right side and a little lighter on the left to create a 3D effect. With the eraser, erase a small line on the right of each balloon to create a highlight on each balloon.

Next, color the cardfront with PanPastels - from left to right, beach breeze, yellow, orange, red and finally beach ball. Blend the colors into each other slightly.

With Black Licorice ink, stamp the Happy Birthday phrase from the Let's Eat Cake stamp set unto a scrap of Summer Sun CS, then fussy cut.

Attach twine to back of each balloon with White Liner tape, then add 3 foam squares to the back of each balloon. (I doubled up the foam squares on the smaller balloons, so they pop up more than the large balloon).

Add foam squares to the back of the sentiment, pull twine underneath this piece and attach to card. Cut twine as needed to fit on card. Stamp sentiment on the inside and you're done!!

As always, I hope I've helped to inspire you today! Happy Crafting & Smiles, Laura

SUNSET BIRTHDAY CARD
using PanPastels

Hello! As promised, I've got another card featuring FSJ's Party Pop PanPastels! I am really loving how quick and easy it is to create a background with the PanPastels. Let's get started!

INGREDIENTS:

Stay Wild ATS (AT-0207)
Sentimental Prints (SS-0072)
Summer Days CS (CS-0033) 1/2 sheet, folded to A2 card
Black Licorice CS (CS-0003) 4" x 5 1/4"
Whip Cream CS (CS-0040) 3 3/4" x 5"
Black Licorice Ink Pad (IP-0041)
Party Pop PanPastels (JM-0081)
Journey Sofft Tools (JM-0098)
White Liner Tape (AD-0001)
Paper towel

DIRECTIONS:

*Special Tips
Clean excess pigment off sponge by tapping gently on paper towel after using each color.

AVOID COLOR CONTAMINATION - Use light colors, like orange & yellow on one end of sponge and darker colors like blues on another end, red on another end/edge., etc...

Watch for my YouTube Video this month on using PanPastels. In the meantime, for more tips and information on using & caring for PanPastels, contact me at my website: www.funstampersjourney.com/lauraneumann

With oval sponge, pick up Lemon Drop PanPastel (PP) and color the bottom 3/5ths of the Whip Cream cardstock. Tap clean on paper towel.

Pick up tiny amount of Black Licorice PP and draw a line across CS about 2/5ths of the way up from the bottom of the card to separate the sky from the ground.

Pick up Beach Breeze PP and blend into yellow from the black line down. Tap sponge clean on paper towel, then pick up Beach Ball PP and blend into the ground. Finally, blend a small amount of Black Licorice PP into the ground to mute the color a bit.

So now you should have green ground and the yellow portion of the sunset. Pick up orange PP and add above the yellow. Blend a little of the orange in with the yellow. Repeat with Candy Apple PP just above the orange, again blending into the orange a little.. Finally, add just a little Beach Breeze PP at the very top of the sunset as shown.

IMPORTANT STEP: With paper towel, burnish (rub) the entire piece with paper towel to set the PanPastels into the cardstock. You shouldn't get much color off - if you do, you've used too much of the PanPastels, go a little lighter next time!

Now you can stamp the Stay Wild Image and the Happy Birthday sentiment with Black Licorice ink.
With White Liner Tape, attach this piece to Black Licorice CS, then to the card front. Stamp desired sentiment or write your own personalized note on the inside and you're done!

As always, I hope I've helped to inspire your creativity today! Happy Crafting & Smiles, Laura

Now die cut the Mini Create a Bow pieces. Curl both ends of the longest rounded piece with your crease tool and assemble with Journey Craft Glue. Attach this to the top of the card, as shown.

EASY MIXED MEDIA GET WELL CARD
using FSJ Party Pop PanPastels

Happy New Year! I hope everyone is well! With this super cold weather lately, I decided it was time to make more Get Well cards! Today's card features a simple mixed media technique - sponging on PanPastels to make a quick background. PanPastels are not chalk, they are similar to oil pastels, only they're in a pan! The Pan Pastels can be burnished into cardstock easily, and there's no need to seal your work, like you would do with chalks. Without any further ado, let's get started!

INGREDIENTS (All from FUN STAMPER'S JOURNEY)

1/2 sheet of Beach Breeze CS, folded in 1/2 to make A-2 card base (CS-0001)
Whip Cream CS, 4"x5 1/4"' and a scrap to stamp spoon, medicine bottle and cup on (CS-0040)
Journey Color Splash Pencils (JM-0078)
Get Well Stamp Set (SS-0331)
Party Pop PanPastels (JM-0081)
Journey Sofft Tools (JM-0098)
Rainbow Drops (AC-0178)
Journey Glaze (AD-0003)
True Color Fusion Black Licorice Ink Pad (IP-0041)
White Liner Tape (AD-0001)
Journey Small Foam Squares (AD-0084)
Paper Towel

DIRECTIONS

With Black Licorice Inkpad, stamp Chicken Cup, Medicine Bottle & Spoon on scrap Whip Cream CS. Color in as shown above with Journey Color Splash pencils, then cut out and set aside.

Pick up Red PanPastel with oval sponge (tap lightly, if you press too hard you'll get a lot of dust). Gently rub Red PanPastel into lower right corner of CS, as shown above. Tap off excess red CS onto paper towel - be gentle and tap lightly! When you no longer see color coming off, its clean.

Now gently pick up Orange PanPastel with oval sponge and rub gently into CS above the red, as shown. You can go into the red a little bit - notice how easily the PanPastels blend! Clean off sponge again by gently tapping on paper towel.

Pick up Yellow PanPastel with oval sponge and gently rub into CS above the orange, as shown, again blending into the orange a little bit. Clean off sponge on paper towel.

Now flip sponge over to a clean spot (I like to use one side for darker colors, and the other for lighter colors). Pick up Beach Breeze PanPastel with sponge and gently rub into the upper left corner of CS, blending a little with the yellow. Clean off sponge. Finally, using a clean piece of paper towel, burnish (rub) the entire piece, until the color no longer comes off.

Attach your colored piece to the Beach Breeze card Base with White Liner Tape. In the upper left corner, stamp the "Get Well Soon" phrase with Black Licorice Ink. Next, attach your colored pieces that you set aside earlier with Journey Foam Squares. Attach small yellow and red Rainbow Drops with Journey Glaze - remember, a little dab of glaze will donicely here! Attach a large red Rainbow Drop on the spoon with Journey Glaze. Finally, cover the medicine bottle with journey glaze to give it a glassy look - and the front is done! Set the card aside for an hour or two to allow the glaze on the bottle to dry thoroughly.

I stamped the sentiment "HUGS, KISSES AND GET WELL WISHES" on the inside of the card with Black Licorice Ink.

I hope you have fun creating this card! I'll be adding a few more mixed media cards over the next few weeks, so keep checking back! And remember, you can order the supplies you need from me by copying and pasting this address into a new tab: www.funstampersjourney.com/lauraneumann

Wishing you the best in 2018! Happy Crafting & Smiles, Laura
